Odysseus is wrong

A musical adventure
for adults + children older than 12

It is Tuesday night – as always Easy, Bernd and Schwarte meet in the rehearsal room, everything is like it has always been – until Easy stumbles across a book in the bass drum: The Odyssey by Homer.

Easy takes it for fate, a sign. Isn’t he just as smart as Odysseus? Don’t they constantly make mistakes, too, for the last 20 years, although they are marking time?

He pushes his companions through the complete Odyssey: They read, set pieces to music, sing, illustrate, play and rehearse the old text, make it through to the end while getting on the wrong path again and again.

In the end they are left in their rehearsal room with their desire for grand adventures, heroism and love – with their inability to perform a proper departure – until next Tuesday’s band rehearsal.

This co production of Theater Triebwerk and Theaterwekstatt Pilkentafel is an insane mixture of Homer’s highly set tone and extreme silliness.
